This land original version G C G This land is your land, this land is my land G D7 From California to the Staten Island, G D G From the Redwood Forest, to the Gulf stream waters, D7 g God blessed America for me. As I went walking that ribbon of highway And saw above me that endless skyway, And saw below me the golden valley, I said: God blessed America for me. I roamed and rambled and followed my footsteps To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts, And all around me, a voice was sounding: God blessed America for me. Was a high wall there that tried to stop me A sign was painted said: Private Property, But on the back side it didn't say nothing -- God blessed America for me. When the sun come shining, then I was strolling In wheat fields waving and dust clouds rolling; The voice was chanting as the fog was lifting: God blessed America for me. One bright sunny morning in the shadow of the steeple By the Relief Office I saw my people -- As they stood hungry, I stood there wondering if God blessed America for me.

The third line should be G C G instead of G D G.
Other than that this tab is OK.
Nice job on butchering the lyrics buddy. The refrain should be, "This land was made for you and me." Woodie Guthrie wasn't some right-wing Christian monster.
No, the lyrics he wrote are indeed the original. Jackass.
SteveG is absolutely right. Woody Guthrie never wrote "God blessed America for me." Whoever wrote that must not know much about Woody Guthrie. The real original version includes a verse that says, "One Sunday morning in the shadow of a steeple, by the relief office, I saw my people." That verse was one reason this song was disqualified as a replacement for the National Anthem -- it was too evident of Woody's Communist, atheist leanings.
Another example of how Christians try to take credit for everything good.
The person who wrote this tab is getting a lot of grief for using the original lyrics that Woody wrote on Feb. 23, 1940. The first draft of the song and title were both God Bless America for Me. He later revised it to say This Land is Your Land.
ref: This Land was Made for You and Me by Elizabeth Partridge. pg 85
