How to read tabs?

Notes: Yeah, the full version baby!  Of course, this is just the first guitar part,
I might end up posting the other parts later, but for now this is all I'm interested
playing (hey, if my band chooses to play it at a concert then I'll have to tab it all
out anyway).  There's not much to be said about this tab...  It's laid out fairly
simply, a sixteenth note is always equal to one dash (8th=2dashes, 1/4=4dashes),
and so on, but on the longer notes that kinda gets messed up because I wanted to
fit as much as I could on each line.  Whenever you see a letter on it's own, it means
a rest, q=quarter rest, e=eighth rest, s=sixteenth rest.  And yes, each section is
exactly one bar.

I wanna learn this tab, but to be honest i havnt got a clue when the chorus verse and pre chorus's start and finish, any help would be great.

well, if you guys are too stupid to follow the lines, 4U its not worth even trying to play whitesnake stuff. go and play "blowing in the wind" or use your CD player instead.

Dude, my grandma can write out tab better than that!
Not every guitarist has an ear for music so they rely on tab to learn stuff! Have you ever looked at a songbook to see how the songs are layed out? Help out theses up and coming guitarists! If they are wanted to learn how to play a Whitesnake song, give some credit for wanting to play some REAL music and not the crap we all hear on tha radio these days! MAke it a little easier for the people that AREN'T kickass guitar players to be able to follow!
By the way, the lead solo if off! LOL

Hey Harry, you clearly know what you are doing. It would be very helpful if you arranged the tab in a verse, chorus etc. allignment - or even along with the words. I could find no other tab on the net besides yours; thus, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks, Adam

Hey, I am and have been a good guitarists, I've seen all sorts of tab layouts, and for you critisizers out there, you could better understand it if you accually knew how to read tab. Now this is his way of doing it and I can follow it just as good as anything else I've seen, and if you dont like it, then have the common curtesy of not posting critisizim to his sight and go somewhere else to read this song! Or better yet, if you think it's so crappy how about YOU write the the tab yourself then? Hede my advice, or you will not get very far...
