A# is the same thing as Bb. And yes, they are 6th chords.
....er... and it's New York station, not L.A. ?
did you get this form a live version? maybe that would explain why its in D and New York is cahnged to LA
I have my guitar tuned down to D
(D G C F A D) and after playing around, I come up with this sequence which sounds close to the original intro
E D A E
Where E is played at the 12th fret, D is at the 10th, A is at the 12th back to the E with other strings played open and ringing.
Not on the money but there's something in it.
