Person: Kyle Holcombe song: "Mean To Me" artist: Tonic tab: Well, my obsession with Tonic has moved me to do my first tab...heh. If you see stuff wrong, feel free to fix it...by all means. I know, I know...this ain't the entire song. Sorry, but I just can't get the intro. I know it's basically the same chord progression as the chorus, but I can't quite get it. Ah well...this is pretty much how Tonic played it live...I think. Sorry, no solo either. Tuning: Capo II fret Main riff: |----------------------------| |----------------------------| |----------------------------| |----------------------------| |-----------0--2--4--6--2----| |--0--2--4-------------------| Chorus: (The rythm on this probably ain't exactly right on, but if you listen to the song while you play, you'll get it) |-----------------------------------| |-----------------------------------| |--4--4-44--xx----------------------| |--4--4-44--xx---6--6-66---444-444--| |--2--2-22--xx---6--6-66---444-444--| |----------------4--4-44---222-222--| |---------------------------------------------------| |---------------------------------------------------| |---4--4-44--xx-------------------------------------| |---4--4-44--xx---6--6-66---------------------------| |---2--2-22--xx---6--6-66------------0--2--4--6--2--| |-----------------4--4-44---0--2--4-----------------| Behind the solo, they play the main riff once, then play the chorus part...twice, I believe

i learned this song from tonic
when they appeard on a late
night talk show.
standard tuning.
capo 1st fret. progression:
Am----C/G----Am----F (inside
chord on F)----Am----then take
F to 3rd fret. e-mail me and i
can get more detailed. enjoy
In addition to the first fret capo, tune your B string to a C to get that open sound on all the chords. It really improves the accuracy.
try tuning all strings down 1/2 a step then play: Bm, A, D, Bm, G(hold for 2 measures), Bm, A, G, fill(E-2,3,5,A-2,4,D-0,2, chorus: D, Bm, G, D, Bm, fill...that's the whole song right there...ciao baby
