Subject: Where the green grass grows

Hi, this is my first Tab, and though its not perfect, I'm proud of it. None
the less if anybody has questions, coments, harty pat's on the back,
helpful hints on "writing tab's", and so on and so forth, please write to
me at dustinw@oregontrail.net. This is: *Where the Green Grass Grows* on
Tim Mcgraw's "everywhere" album(one of his best as far as I'm conserned). I
like to play it with a capo on the 3rd fret, but it sounds good whithout
the capo also. I play the notes this way (going EADGBe): C: 332010 F:
13321x(also known as a "grip chord")
                                                         G: 320003 D: xx0232
***Where the Green Grass Grows***
C F
6 lanes, tail lights,
C G
red ants marchin' into the night,
F C F
they disappear to the left and right again.
C F
Another supper, from a sack,
C G
a 99 cent heart attack.
C F
I got a poundin' head and an achin' back,
G D C
and the camel's buried in a big straw stack.
***CHORUS***
G
I'm gonna live where the green grass grows,
C
watchin' my corn pop up in row's.
G C
Every night be tucked in close, to you.
G
Raise our kids where the good lord's blessed,
C
point our rockin' chair's towards the west,
G C
plant our dreams where the peaceful river flows,
D C G
where the green grass grows.

C F
Well I'm from, a map dot,
C G
a stop sign on'a black top.
F C F
I caught the first bus I could hop from there.
C F
but all the glitter is'a gettin' dark,
C G
there's concrete flowin' in the city park.
C F
I don't know who my neighbor's are,
G D C
and there's bar's on the corner's, and bars on the heart.

chorus x 2
