                               SOLITAIRE - Strung Out
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By: Mike-BLOOx18@aol.com

Hey, I've seen this song tabbed out by so many people in a lot of different ways.
This is my interpretation of the song and it sounds better than some of the ones
I've seen, and it's much easier to understand. The break down part at the end
is not 100%, but as far as the rest of the song, it's pretty accurate. Remember
that Rob and Jake tune their guitars down ONE WHOLE STEP but you only need to
do that if you're playing along with the recording. Bass players can just play the
notes of the chord to play along too. Enjoy.

E (022xxx) Eii (x799xx)
p=pull off
/=slide
h=hammer on

Intro Riff:Guitar 1
e|-------------------------------------|
B|-------------------------------------|
G|-------------------------------------|
D|------------9p7----------------------| 7 times w/palm muting
A|----0--0-----------------------------|
E|-------------------------------------|

Octave riff:Guitar 1 (Guitar 2 plays these chords-A F# E D Eii
e|---------------------------x------------------------------------|
B|------10------9------------x------------------------------------|
G|---------------------9-----x-------7--7--7----9-----------------|
D|-------7------6------------x------------------------------------| play this whole part twice
A|---------------------7-----x-------5--5--5----7-----------------|
E|-------3 times-------------x-------4th time play this once------|

2nd octave riff:
e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|------/10--strum about 5 times after each slide----------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|------/7-------strum about 10 times on the last slide----------------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

Verse-play with intro riff and these chords: A F# E with palm muting (2x)
(on the last part of the verse add the D and Eii chords where "...those secret games..." is sang.)
1st (pre-)chorus-"So here I sit all tied up..."-play with these chords: D A F# C# D (2x)
back to Verse-same as before
2nd (pre-)chorus-same as before
back to octave riffs 1&2
back to Verse-same as before but on the palm muted riff they throw in this:

e|-----------------------------------------------------------|
B|-----------------------------------------------------------|
G|-----------------------------------------------------------|
D|------------9h11----that's played the last two times-------|
A|-----0--0--------------------------------------------------|
E|-----------------------------------------------------------|

3rd (pre-)chorus-same
BREAKDOWN-"When you come around..."-sounds like these chords: A F# E D Eii (1 time each)

Ending octave riff/solo type thing:
e|-------------------------------------------------------------------x-------------------|
B|----10------9-------------10------9------12------10------9---------x-------------------|
G|-------------------9--------------------------------------------9--x----7------9-------|
D|----7-------6-------------7-------6------9-------7-------6---------x-------------------|
A|-------------------7--------------------------------------------7--x----5------7-------|
E|-------------------------------------------------------------------x-------------------|

End song with A chord.

That's it. That's the first strung out song I've ever tabbed and it didn't come
out that bad. Email me if you can't understand it. Some of the strum patterns
weren't tabbed out because I'm lazy. Peace.
