Equipment: Honestly, you could pull it off with any electric into a clean 
amp. In this case a Marshall or Bogner would be preferred over a Fender
to get that "clank" in the top end (but that's just my opinion).  A deep
(non-spring) reverb is also used in the solo.

Well, i like stone sour but i think that the tabs you guys have are wrong. The intro starts with a power chord on the 2nd and 3rd sting at the 9th and the 7th fret then you hit 8 on the 5th string and then 7 on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th strings. I may be wrong though cause ive only been playing for about 3 weeks but i can play this song. any questions email me ciscojohn2002@yahoo.com.

I fucking love Slipknot, and so far I've only played with this tab a little bit. It works. You don't like it? Figure it out on your own, dumbass.
Regardless, I love Slipknot (especially you, Jim!), and most of the guys in that band kick ass. I've had the luck to meet just about all of them.
Stone Sour has some good songs, and Slipknot is for mindless headbanging.
And there's nuthin wrong with that.

Yes, which means that the chords are Ebm and C# respectively - which is what the above tab says. You don't have to play with open chord shapes and a capo - in fact, it's better practice to use barre chords...
