This song is number # off of Stephen Malkmus' self-titled album w/ The Jicks

I don't really know the names of the chords that are used, but they are as
follows:

E- 0-7-6 -X-X-X
C#m- 9-7-7 -9-X-X
A- X-0-7h6-X-X-X
F#- 2-4-4 -3-0-0
A* 5-7-7 -6-0-0

For the verses, hit the low string of the chord a couple of times before you
play the rest of the strings (at least that's the way John Wayne would have
done it).

The second verse is the same. Obviously, there's more to the song like that
chill wah riff they've got going on, so if you have friends, they can learn
those parts, where as I just play it by myself.
