D :4---6-6--8-8--4-4--|4-4--6-6---6-8-6-8-9-----------------|
A :4---4-4--6-6--2-2--|4-4--4-4---6-8-6-8-9-----------------|

E :2-2-2-2-2---------------|--------------------------------|
 "Remember the cold of winter..."

Now the next part is played with a 12 string guitar but just play it the same as the first part.
E :-------------------|-------------------------------------|
B :-------------------|-------------------------------------|
G :----6-6--8-8--4-4--|-----6-6---5-7-5-7-8-----------------|
D :4---6-6--8-8--4-4--|4-4--6-6---6-8-6-8-9-----------------|
A :4---4-4--6-6--2-2--|4-4--4-4---6-8-6-8-9-----------------|
E :2------------------|2-2--------4-6-4-6-7-----------------|
                  "Saw myself touch..."

Second Chorus
E :------------------------|--------------------------------|
B :------------------------|--------------------------------|
G :------------6-6-6-6-6---|8-8-8-8-8---4-4-4-4-4-----------| PLAY THIS 3 AND 1/4 TIMES.
D :4-4-4-4-4---6-6-6-6-6---|8-8-8-8-8---4-4-4-4-4-----------| or something along those lines
A :4-4-4-4-4---4-4-4-4-4---|6-6-6-6-6---2-2-2-2-2-----------| listen to the song to get it right
E :2-2-2-2-2---------------|--------------------------------|

Last part.
E :-------------------|-------------------------------------|
B :-------------------|-------------------------------------|
G :----6-6--8-8--4-4--|-----6-6---5-7-5-7-8-----------------|
D :4---6-6--8-8--4-4--|4-4--6-6---6-8-6-8-9-----------------|
A :4---4-4--6-6--2-2--|4-4--4-4---6-8-6-8-9-----------------|
E :2------------------|2-2--------4-6-4-6-7-----------------|
 "Oh well, you got me...."

Thats it just play those power chords once for that last slow part, you should
be able to get it. e-mail ipippy@hotmail for any questions / corrections / comments.

try this

|---------------------------|
|---------------------------|
|---------------------------|
|-----2-2---3-3---4-4-------|
|-4---3-3---6-6---2-2-------| |-2-------------------------|

|---------------------------|
|---------------------------|
|---------------------------|
|-----2-2-------------------|
|-4---4-4---6/(8)\6/(8)-9---|
|-2---------4/(5)\4/(5)-7---|

It's pretty simple. Support your lcoal bands.

hey guys the song is alot easier to play down tuned a half step and droped D (well actually dropped Db witht he set up) lie this
Db-Ab-Db-Gb-Bb-eb

i'd write the rest out if i had time, if you want to know how i play it email me na d i'll write it outin notepad.

caley October 25, 2003, 4:22

ok so here's what i was saying about dropped D tuning. I also said something about droping down a half step, but because of the was the song is played, you don't have to do that, so i won't do that in this tab.

So your tuning should look like this:

e-----
B-----
G-----
D-----
A-----
D-----

If you're not familiar with that, all it is is tuning you low E string a whole step down from normal. People do this to play power chords rooted on the low E (now a D) string.

OK so here's the song...

e------------------------------------------------------
B------------------------------------------------------
G-----6--x--6-6----8-8----4-4--x--6--x--6-6------------
D-----4--x--6-6----8-8----4-4--x--4--x--6-6---1-3-1-3-4
A-----4--x--4-4----6-6----2-2--x--4--x--4-4---1-3-1-3-4
D-----4--x---------------------x--4--x--------1-3-1-3-4
"Oh well, you've got me under..."

This part is most of the verse except the very last part right before the chorus where it goes like this

e------------------------------------------------------
B------------------------------------------------------
G-----6--x--6-6----8-8----4-4--x--6--x--6-6------------
D-----4--x--6-6----8-8----4-4--x--4--x--6-6---1111-3333
A-----4--x--4-4----6-6----2-2--x--4--x--4-4---1111-3333
D-----4--x---------------------x--4--x--------1111-3333
"Saw the.. ...cutting through grass

Then the chorus is

e---------------------------------------------------
B---------------------------------------------------
G-----6-6-6-6-6--6-6-6-6-6--4-4-4-4-4--4-4-4-4-4----
D-----4-4-4-4-4--6-6-6-6-6--4-4-4-4-4--4-4-4-4-4----
A-----4-4-4-4-4--4-4-4-4-4--2-2-2-2-2--2-2-2-2-2----
D-----4-4-4-4-4-------------------------------------
"Too stupid to be aware..."

I know it sounds like it should go up on the third chord to D# but I think it just stays at B like i wrote. There is another guitar doubling on octaves something else, I'll re-post with that if i figure it out. At the end of the chorus a twelve-string guitar comes in with this riff and repeats it until the next chorus.

e--------------------------------------------------------
B-----8-----7-7----5-5----3-3-----8-----7-7---5-7-5-7-8--
G--------------------------------------------------------
D--------------------------------------------------------
A--------------------------------------------------------
D--------------------------------------------------------

So that goes on with another guitar on the verse chords. Then the chorus again, then a short outro verse and it ends with this.

e----------------------------------------------------------------------
B----------------------------------------------------------------------
G-----6------------6-------------4-------------4-------------6---------
D-----4------------6-------------4-------------4-------------4---------
A-----4------------4-------------2-------------2-------------4---------
D-----4------------------------------------------------------4---------
Nothing's like being held sometimes

There ya go, any questions or comments on how much I messed up just send me an email, caley@umail.ucsb.edu.

"OK so here's the song...
