I haven't been playing guitar too long and I know there are different ways to play songs when you use a capo, but i'm positive there is a chord change in between the C and F.
So, without a capo:
[D]We were standing on a[Em] mountain top
[G]Where the cactus flowers[D] grow
Chorus:
[A]And we were dreamin like
[Bm]The end was not in site
[G]And we dreamed all afternoon[D]
[A]We asked the world to wait
[Bm]So we could celebrate [Gslow]
A gringo honeymoon [DGDG]
(that DGDG is just like the intro and what my dad does is play a D and then add his pinky to the first string on the third fret)
Hope this helps
My take on the live version of Gringo Honeymoon is:
Intro:
D4 D D4 D (or something close)
D Em
We were standing on a mountain top
G D
Where the cactus flowers grow
D Em
I was wishing that the world would stop
G D
When you said we'd better go
D Em
We took a rowboat across the Rio Grande
G D
Captain Pablo was our guide
D C
For two dollars in a weathered hand
G D
He rowed us to the other side
Chorus
A
We were dreaming like
Bm
the end was not in sight
G D
And we dreamed all afternoon
A
We asked the world to wait
Bm
so we could celebrate
G (plucked)
A gringo honeymoon
The break is the same as the intro.
Oops, that didn't format properly. Move the second chord over to the right word and you'll get it. Also, this version doesn't need a capo. Good luck!
