How to read tabs?

Song:      Californication
Artist:    Red Hot Chili Peppers

Transcribed by Clint K (IM: Golem1057)

This songs pretty easy.... I added optional bass notes that make it
sound
better if your playing by yourself. I tabbed out the song the way it
goes
on the album.... The verses are all the same, I just retabbed them.

I tried to show some of the spacing between notes, but it's far from 
perfect... so you'll probably have to listen to the song while you
play.

(Notes in parentheses are played by the bass.... I think...)

Great tab, i only see two problems in the solo. At the beginning where you bend from [13]11 the third time, it should be on the G string. Also the last note should be an A on the 14th fret of the G string. Good work man.

it is a good tab, but your pre chorus is an Am and Fmaj over C ( Fmaj/C) since the bass notes are both F and C also the chorus is regular C to G, not the wierd G you have.
