i dont think that this is right. the f chord played here should be a d and the c should be an a. If you play it this way, you play it with the song. i just wanted to tell you that.

Thanx

I too think the F, and C don't belong in this song.

The F and C chords in this song are correct. A and D are not even close.

Going buy the chords in the official "Home" music book, Mindy and i are correct. A very simple song for beginners, especially young children. Might need to check the tuning, if these don't sound right.

I agree with those who don't agree with F and C. I just played it with the song, and the whole thing is wrong. C should be A and F should be D, BUT, this could still be played and still sound right, just...not with the song. So whoever thought that A and D was not even close, you are tone deaf.

Play the C as 002013 and hammer on with 1st & 2nd fingers.
He plays the 'F' as a barre chord on 5th fret- 557565

According to an interview with Radney Foster he plays Godspeed with an alternate tuning.
Foster’s favorite alternative tunings are DADGAD and an open-G banjo tuning, with a C rather than D as the lowest note. “At the end of the night,” he adds, “I’ll tune one of my guitars to open D [D, A, D, F#, A, D], so I can play ‘Godspeed,’ a lullaby I wrote.”

Also, those who are protesting the chords on this page are listening to the Dixie Chicks recording which does use A and D chords where the Radney Foster recording uses a C and F.
