Every Rose Has Its Thorn (Poison)
I just noticed that when you try to play the C Cadd9 D C progression with
the actual song, it is very not in key. The tabs for this song have this
mistake as well. Here are the chords for the full song that seem to work
much better. All chord names and fingerings are in relation to the capo.
Capo @ 2
E Asus2 B A
----0----------0------------2------------0-------------------------------=
----0----------0------------3------------2-------------------------------=
----1----------2------------3------------2-------------------------------=
----2----------2------------3------------2-------------------------------=
----2----------0------------2------------0-------------------------------=
----0----------0---------------------------------------------------------=
In the bridge, there is an additional chord that begins the first two lines:
G#
----4----------
----4----------
----4----------
----6----------
----6----------
----4----------
Listen to the song for strumming and changes.
I would like to give credit to torbjorn@ifi.uio.no (Torbjørn Richardsen)
for drawing my attention to the different chord in the bridge.

Hey man i usually don't make comments but i had to on this i wanna thank you whoever you are because i was feelin really bad for the next generation of guitar players because this is the only and i mean only tab i've seen that is in the right key i guess everbody has gone tone deaf or something the tab lacks a little but at least it's in the right key i usually wouldn't say this but u deserve it great job man
im new on the guitar and dont really know how to read tabs yet, theres so many for every song out there u dont know wich one is the right one (like this song) but anyways i was wondering what is a capo and whats does tune 1/2 down mean,
u half to tune down half a 1\2 step its played in g and c
if u tune down half a step its g# if u capo at the 2 and play e its g# flat poison plays it in g tuned down 1\2
step
Every body but Les Paul goldtop (like the name) SUCK'S. It is tuned a half step down when i went and saw thier acoustic show i shure dont remember them putting on a capo.
dude its spelled sure
If anyone saw Brett Michaels play this song on Nashville Star, you will see that he played it Gadd9, Cadd9, Em, and D. I don't know if he was tuned down, but he played it on acoustic, and it sure as hell didn't have a capo anywhere. I play it the same way, and it sounds exactly like the CD.
