Subject: Tab: Wish You Were Here , Pink Floyd
This is an improvement of what's already at the archive, I fixed th
Intro part, which had many errors, and added the solo, which was not in
the original:

Sorry for the "rag-tag" look of this. I got part of it from Alt.guitar, and
did the rest myself. Oh well, here it is....

I never realized the nevada one didn't have the solos, since I
already knew it, I haven't looked at them. Well, this is going to be
the whole song (or the itnro anyway), but the solo is in there. It may
not be perfect, this was tabbed from playing by ear, but it sounds
good to me, and it's how I've been playing it for a long time.
Enjoy...

hate to break it to you guys but Wish You Were Here is played on a 12-string
Well, if you can play it on a 6-string, you can play it on a 12.
heroes for goodness sake. not hero's. ugh.
soles? soles?
*souls* gee
okie mr grammer.
It is *Mr. Grammer*
hey dumbass... a 12 string has 4 pairs of strinds that are 2 differnt octives and 2 pairs of strings that are the same... if u can play a song on a 12 string u can play it on a 6 ... the 12 just gives the sound more body...
If your going to make fun of someone and call him Mr. Grammar you should spell grammar right. (Grammar)
Hey i gotta go with dan on this one man the 12 string just gives more sound to the hammer on's and pull offs and gives you the flexibility to play some songs alittle differently. But it can work on either guitar.Good tab man keep it up.
who cares about the grammer. the tabs are great. you know what the lyrics are.
hey playin it on a 12 string sounds cool but can ya play it on a 13 string just a thought (duh) well how about an 11 then
tab is good...DJ Ddumbo....u make no sense...dan and kyle are right about the 12 string guitar...it just sounds better...hey, try this song on a harp :))) that'll sound WEIRD...great...now I make no sense
yeah um it not played on a 12 string on the album its played on a resonator listen close
you guys are funny, arguing about this stuff....you cant expect it to be perfect right? but i do agree if your going to spell grammar right, you shoud do just that....pretty good tabs though, despite the mistakes..you should fix those by the way. and yes "kurt kobain", you make no sense. and i also agree with kyle, you can play it on either one..no need to be technical, although the many of you are correct.
sounds good on a 6 but then it may depend on the make of guitar you got ........they all dont sound the same you know just a thought
great tab!!! almost perfect.
As I sat 4th row center, Gilmore played a 12 string on this. Yeah, I'm that old.
cool....!!!
yeah, twelve strings are so cool!!! theyre like: twang, twang twangtwang!!! picka picka twang!!! twaaaaaaang, and so on and so forth.
you guys are fuckin crazy the tab is good it's not great but it's good you guys are way to worryed about who is right so just listen to the music and for get who is right and who is wrong it's just about the music and this guys was nice enough to bring it to us
1. Poostain: everybody know's there's no such thing as a 12 string guitar. why dont you just say it sounds better on an air guitar. 2. The thought that our educated youth cannot spell simple words like "soul" "heroes" or "grammar" frightens me more than anything else in this demented world...even terrorism. 3. Jeff and Erika you two are the most down to earth people i've ever met. you have your heads screwed on right; keep it up. 4. Dan and Jeff: there you go again talking about that mythical 12 string guitar. Yeah maybe i'll buy one....the day aliens land in D.C., they shoot bigfoot, and find the lochness monster. 5. Kurt: I love your music you single handedly changed the face of music in the '90s.
6. Diggbert: All guitars sound exactly the same you dummy. 7. Big B: i'm sure you did sit 4th row center, just not at a REAL concert. Imaginary concerts don't count...*coughs* (did that cough just sound like "pothead"? 8. Bruce, you're cool. 9. Pretty good tab by the way
a few things. first, coop the troop, i genuinely hope you were kidding about the 12 string guitar thing...people visiting these guitar sites who do not have the least bit of knowledge of guitars or how to play them scares me, not necessarily more than the government says terrorism should... i think this song is one of those that can sound great played on many instruments, maybe even a harp... ok, SOME instruments... um, i dont think that many of the grammar (yes, mike, grammar is spelled with an 'a', but i think you intentionally mispelled it for effect) mistakes should be focused on, since this is not english class, sorry to burst your bubble, rather it is a forum discussing one of the great songs of an era from an equally great british band... i didn't think the tab quite gave the song its due credit musically... some of the chords might need revising. however, my deepest hope is that this tab can continue to inspire, despite its grammatical and musical flaws, the continuance of learning of that great instrument, the guitar, whether it be a 12 string, which DOES most definitely exist, or the simpler and more widespread 6 string.
Hey, all guitars sound differently, yes there is a 12 string althought it does sound like a 6 string with more body. By the way these tabs suck, can't anyone get the last 2 solos right, no one even plays the first solo right ive watched the video its totally different from what everyone tabs.
the guys making fun of your "GRAMMAR" NEED TO GET OVER IT AND LOOK AT THE TAB!!!! good job man, great tab.
Wow, a lot of bone picking going on about the spelling. All I can add is these are great tabs. I’ve bee playing this song for quite a while, both lead and rhythm, and it differs from what’s posted. But I dig hearing others interpretation of this song. I hope some day I can give it a go on a 12, sounds like fun...
HOLLY SHIT. Coop the Troop you need to shut the fuck up and do some research on the 12 string guitar. Everyone knows that there is such thing as a 12 string guitar, I've even played one. So don't go talking about something you don't know shit about. O yeah the tab, KICKS ASS
well, hmm... find this odd, the fact that a person can be playing a guitar and visiting tab sites and yet, not know that there is such thing as a 12 string guitar. Coop the Troop, youve been smokin too much weed. cut down. good tab man.
man its floyd, shut up and enjoy you ungreatful bastads
gang de cave ki sostine pour erien...
how could there not be such thing as a 12 string?
but it doesnt matter because you can play it on either a 6 or a 12 and itll still sound good (as long as you hit all the right notes...)
shucks. look at all that crazy talk. weed-man's comment is the best. thats neat-o-rama. but the sad reality is there is still no such thing as a 12 string guitar, though i am working on something in a 10 string. it should be out in late april. i'll keep you posted.
Of course there is a 12 string what do ya think I used alot of the time I think some people in here got a hold of some very very bad acid if you want give me a call I will get you some good lids...
pretty good tab, {other then it being played on a 12 string wich does sound better} "Jimmy Page" ur a god damned druggie
i are really glad dat dis tab iz ere, fukin gr8 song, thanks, hah, oi coop youre a fucking dickhead :D
OK , first things first, i play a 12 string, you can play this song on a 6, hit the strings closer to the bridge, secondly this tab is ok but there is a lot more sliding in it then is tabbed.
I recently ordered a pizza. The said pizza did not meet my required standards, thus requiring me to contact the pizza company and inquire as to if I could recieve the said pizza free of charge. They complied.
Coop, good job on the 12 string. After reading all the posts about this mysterious monster, I decided to do some research for myself. I found one such beast on ebay for $150. When it arived, it turned out to be a regular ol' guitar some douchebag added more strings to with tape and a glue gun. Looks like a screwed up banjo. Keep fighting the good fight brother and good luck with the 10 string.
you people should not be so judgemental, just keep playing how your playing brother
