I belive the opening chords to "out of the sinking" use a different chord
shape than you show.  Here's my version:

--5-/---7----7------------            P.S. :  / =  Sliding

--6-/---8----------8------            Later on in the song, using the first chord
--7-/---9-----------------            shape,  you pull off the 7th fret of the 2nd string  
--5-/---7-----------------            to the 5th fret of the 2nd string. Then you play the
