I THINK THOSE LYRICS IN THE BRIDGE ARE " MY HI-FI IS WAITING FOR A NEW TUNE" I COULD BE WRONG
Rob is correct the line is "my hi-fi is wating for a new tune" for all you youngsters out there hi-fi is an old term for a stereo (you know that old cabinet at your grandparents'with a "record player" and possibly even an "eight track player" and a t.v.).
I don't know who wrote this song ,but given the blusey nature and tune I would guess it is older than Ms.Jones
This song was written by
J.D. Loudermilk. The words are My hifi is waiting for a new tune.
No the lyrics are correct..."my hot fire's awaiting for a new tune"
I am looking at the "Official" sheet music for Norah Jones and the words are: "My hot fire's a waiting for a new tube" . I have no idea what this means but those are the correct words :)
