Don't Know Why

performed by Norah Jones on her album "First Sessions"
composed by Jesse Harris

transcribed by Michael Blake.

The guitar part is played on nylon strings. Emphasis is on the
descending chromatic line from the A down to the D. The M7 D7 6 and 9
chords highlight this line, as well as the Eb Major to Eb minor change
in the second bar.

The song is in the form AABABAA with a piano solo on the second to
last A section.

The second chord in bar on is a Bb7.The second chord in bar 2 is a D7 chord not a Ebm. The line is BbM7-Bb7-EbM7-D7

I've been playing the D7 as a D+ - got to get that B flat in there

corey June 16, 2003, 5:49

hey im a beginner so can some one tell me how to read this stuff or something
my e-mail is coreyfanco@hotmail.com

Corey, each line represents a string, the lowest line is the low E, etc. The numbers written on the line represent a position on the string. a 3 on the second from-below line would be a C, etc.
