First of all, Cobain is spelt with a "c" not a "k".
Secondly, it's not even his song, it is a cover of a David Bowie song. If you listen to "Unplugged In New York" you will hear Kurt say "that was a David Bowie song" after he plays it.

A) It helps to play the solo with an E-bow it sounds sweet.
B) Does anyone know the chord pattern behind the solo? It's different from the other riffs.
