The words are by, I believe, Robert Burns. Please check me on this. Some
English poet, anyway. I ain't an English major. I don't know who
originally set it to music, but here goes:
Auld Lang Syne
F C7
Should old acquaintance be forgot
F Bb
And never brought to mind
F C7
Should old acquaintance be forgot
A Dm Gm7 C7 F
And days of auld lang syne
For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll take a cup o'kindness yet
And days of auld lang syne
The original poem has another verse, but nobody ever sings it.
Special bonus (because I don't want to go back to studying yet): Melody tab

Play with a wah-wah and very heavy distortion; it sounds cool, really.
Happy new year to you all; I'm going home for break (assuming I survive
exams), so I shan't be posting for a while (now, now, don't get too
upset).
Corrections, improvements, good karma welcome as always.

Nice tab, i've been looking for this for a while. One correction though, "Robert Burns, some English poet." He was Scottish, from Ayrshire.
these are awsome but i know a better way to play and its on one string so its so much easier, but yours are good too. I dont really want to go through all the trouble of sending my tabs so ill do it here. Psychward's got a good one. mines a little simpler, figured it out on my own, it's ok, here it is. Psychward247 rules, and you all are hopeless
I would disagree with t-why. Alec did a super jorb with the solo tabbing. It sounds better than the comment ones.
I agree with Ty, Alec's version is more true to the tune and simpler, i think than psychward's.
