first of all the call of kutulu is not megadeath its metallica and you got the first part of it all wrong
Dave Mustang was in Metallica long before you probably ever heard them. And as a matter of fact he wrote this song, along with The Four Horsemen, aka Mechanix FYI!!! KNOW YOUR FACTS!
Call of the Klutu is still a Metallica song, you idiot.
Want proof? Tell me which Megadeth studio album has Call of the Klutu on it...oh that's right, not a damn one.

You are all wrong call of ktulu as been written by ktulu himself and neither metallica or megadeth are the writter
You are all idiots!!! Dave, James & Lars written the song first and Dave helped Cliff with the bass solo. After Dave left the band Kirk made some changes and he made a guitar solo much better than Daves. In the end METALLICA performed this beutifull song and Megadeth could never make such a great song as Ktulu...!!!
dave james cliff and lars wrote this song and kirk didnt change a single thing because dave is beter than kirk and ive heard the org version and its a whole lot beter than the ride the lightning version

Unlike mostly all of you, whiplash speaks from his heart and brain, not from his @$$. This guy knows what hes talking about. EXCEPT Kirk did change the solo...... and Kirk is way better at Soloing, his concert in Texas back in the day, he performed about 5 solos... and i mean, never heard before "practice, but still better than megadeth's" solo. i saw Dave in concert... and he tried the Solo things too. but he $ucks BMW.
Wow looks like this one has generated some major conflict. First of all the tab is 100% correct except for the fact that it is incomplete, any variations of the tab on this song are only small changes on the fretboard which ultimately produce the same sound. And for all the debate on who wrote the song itself Dave Mustaine legally received all credit for the creation of this song, so instead of foaming at the mouth and argueing over it maybe a little research would assist. If you want to compare skill between Hammett and Mustaine this tab or, tab site for that matter really has nothing to do with it, so I think a lame online postboard arguement would be the thing for you. And if you think Dave can't solo, one more thing, the album song "Ride the Lightning" was another of those songs he received legal credit for writing, give it a few listens and see what you think of the solo.

i agree with BigHugeGuy. If any of u have talent or the knowlege of music u would realize who the bad ass is on guitar and also Dave was more metal than any four in Metallca. check his bio
ehhh...its deffenetly not megadeath, its spelled the call og ktulu, dave mustaine was in metallica but he diddnt even help with this song...

Hey if you dont beleive me man, seriously go in for yourself to check it out. Listen to Area-51 by Megadeth, it is the same part from Metallica's version, not identical but a chorded version of the D-minor triads used in call of ctulu. Apart from that check out some old sales records from when Dave was ousted (or quit?) and it will say he got the credit for the songs. Apart from that they are both great songs!

Dave is better song writer than James and sings better too. He wrote part of this song, but Kirk made the crapy changes. Kirk is a very good guitarist, but what he does is just finger exercises. Dave wanted to create band that would kick Metallica's ass and he has. End of Story

OK Dave helped write this song thats it hes better then james at everything and Megadeth is better then Metallica i mean cmon they mad St Anger...what a piece of shit...Dave rules the only real good cd by Metallica is Ride the Lightning except for Escape...that song blows...the rest are boring the first Megadeth are better then the first 5 Metallica cds...Most of you should learn your music....there are better bands than both
