Manha de Carnival
Composer: Luis Bonfa
Transcriber: Doug Nickerson

This is largely a theme song, featured in the 1960's
film 'Black Orpheus' (English title).

The title, which means 'Morning of Carnival, sometimes

is listed in English arrangements as 'Black Orpheus.'

The "Coda" is merely a sort of vamp that can be
repeated
before the end, I transcribed the vamp, and the whole
piece from the Luis Bonfa recording
"Non-Stop to Brazil."

You can play this peice with 'easy' down the neck
chords,]
it sounds good the simpler the better. So, the
position I've
shown are fairly common ones for chords such as Am,
Cmaj7. I've left
out the position for G7, just play a garden-variety
G7.

Meter: 4/4
Tempo: fairly slowly
