I found an easier way to play this song. It sounds just like it, and, like I said, it's much easier to play, in my opinion. I'm just going to do the intro due to lack of time. Enjoy.... The next few measures are almost identical to the intro, so you can probably play this a few times before you have to change anything. I hope I helped somebody out. Knowing the asses that reply, though, I'll probably have pissed more people off than not for trying to make this song a little bit more simple. Anyway, have fun with it.

I'm sorry, but my hand doesn't stretch nearly far enough to play both the Ab and the B. Its crazy. Play it like Led Zep really does the easy way...
This tab is so hard to play...why on earth would you choose to do this instead of the "old fashioned way". All you did was move stuff around, you didn't make it any simpler at all
i agree, this tab is a waste of time. can anyone hit the e at the 7th fret and the g at the 1st fret? and why would you even do that when you can hit the d at the 6th fret. and to top it all off you said you tried to make this song more simple. this is stairway to heaven man and theres only one way to play. your really helping nobody out by making a great song simple. it should be played as it was wrote
if I wanted to break my hand doing something, I wouldnt try to do it playing this intro you made up. If the goal were to throw as much random things on to a staff and call it stairway to heaven you would get an "a", but since we arent doing that you get and F...do us all a huge favor and stop writing tabs.

Look, I agree it's not easy to play, but it does, in fact, sound exactly like Stairway to Heaven. I used this tab, but with a few minor mods, but come on, nobody's perfect, let's not bust the dude's balls.

(only when i played it slowly and VERY carefully not to brake my fingers) but this is impossible for me to play! I have played piano for over 10 years and i admit i kinda have a freakishly long stretch with my fingers, i can stretch my fingers longer than an octave apart on my piano. But damn! It really hurt my fingers to try to even stretch that far on the guitar. And i have been playing guitar and a 5 string bass for about 5 years now. Trust me. Stick to the other version, it is WAY easier than this.

Haha. I think you must have tabbed this on a child sized guitar. I am 6 and a half foot tall and while I can reach from the 1st to the 7th, I think it would give me arthritis if I did it for more than a minute.
