Dearest Randy Rhoads (tsk tsk) I don't see how this could be wrong. As you may know, this is not an exact interpretation. Although, what you put is exactly the same as mine, just a different chord formation. Yours being harder to accomplish for this song. Please, take some care to try it, and realize that some of us can understand that it is MY INTERPRETATION, not yours, and not Dave Davies, of course. But thank you for the constructive criticism. Ta.

I was stunned ! I went and checked the recording... I was wrong, it is F to G.... but not on the original recording. I seem to have tabbed it from the mid 60s recording. They cut another one in 1986 I believe, and thats the most commonly know one. Thank you, Rob.
being an old fart...THe orignal goes fggfg fggfg then again I'm not a big fan of tghe Van Hagar version.
yes, the Van Halen version has no edge. Its not as... shredding. But, in 1986 the Kinks actually cut another one, or Dave Davies I believe edited the older one, and changed the key. This tab is correct, but to match up with the best known version of the Kinks song, it should just be lowered two frets. including the solo... damn my old recordings.

To joe; It ain't rocket science, all he's saying is that the tab's right but in the wrong key ie, the relationship between the notes and chords is right just not the notes themselves.
Hey man dont listen to these guys, your tab is close enough and thanks for actually tabbing out the solo which a lot of people just seem to skip.
first of all i will ell you that i (unlike alot of people who have visited this site) know music. and i can tell you that Jimmy, Mike, and Randy Rhoads are all very much WRONG. and Rob is apparently the only one that know what the hell is going on. Now one little thing has confused you guys. In those days of the songs original recording they put it on records of course. then when tapes become available they took what was on the record and put on the tapes now this simple transaction put it a key out of tune. so When you are playing a tape and think the song is in F sharp. you better think again because it would have been recorded in F. Ah! another little known fact that has threw you boys off yet again. and by the way to the guy with this site man you need to just give up music its not your thing.
