Good morning little schoolgirl

written by Sonny Boy Williamson
performed by Jonny Lang
from the album Lie to me

This song is quite easy, because it uses the very standard good old
bluse theme. Here it is based on a D chord. That means that you play
the whole song in that following rhythm:
                                         D-D-D-D G-G D-D A7-G-D.

You can either use the chords or the orginal riffs tabbed out down
there. I haven't tabbed the solo because it's much better to play
an own one, based on a D pentatonik scale (10. fret).

CHORDS:

  D D(10.) G G(3.) A7 A7(5.)
E---2-----10-----3-----3-----3-----5---| These are all the chords used
B---3-----10-----0-----5-----2-----8---| in the whole song. You can
G---2-----11-----0-----4-----2-----6---| use either the open ones or
D---0-----12-----0-----5-----2-----7---| the variants with barré.
A---x-----12-----2-----5-----0-----7---|
E---x-----10-----3-----3-----x-----5---|

RIFFS:I have tabbed two ways where to play the riffs. They sound
exactly synchronised, but if you want to use a bass you should
play the second way :-). If you want to, you can also play that
standard blues riff, it sounds also allright...

LYRICS:

A good morning little schoolgirl, \
can I go home with you? \ D
tell your mama and your daddy, /
that I'm a little schoolboy too. /

Baby I love you, \ G
I just can't help myself. /

You're so good looking pretty babe, \ D
I don't need nobody else. /

Good morning little schoolgirl, > A7
Can I go home with you? > G
Uh, Uh, Uh... > D

I'm gonna leave you baby, \
about the break of day \ D
on account of the way you treat me, /
I've got to stay away. /

A good morning little schoolgirl, \ G
can I go home with you? /

tell your mama and your daddy, \ D
that I'm a little schoolboy too. /

Come on pretty baby, > A7
oh you know I can't help myself. > G
Uh, Uh, Uh... > D

(solo)

I'm gonna buy me an aeroplane, \
to fly all over your town. \ D
And tell everybody baby, /
Lord knows you've been putting me down./

I can't stand it babe, \ G
just cannot help myself /

You're so young and pretty, \ D
But you're lovin' somebody else /

A good morning little schoolgirl, > A7
can I go home with you? > G
Uh, uh, uh... > D
Oh babe what you do to me, > D
I can't help myself. > D

(solo)
