Traffic in the Sky by Jack Johnson
from the album "On and On"
D A C G
theres traffic in the sky and it doesn't seem to be getting much bettter
D A C
theres kids playing games on the pavement drawing waves on the pavement
G D
shadows of the planes on the pavement
A C G
it's enough to make me cry but that don't seem like it would make it feel better
D A
maybe it's a dream and if i scream it will burst at the seams
C G
this whole place would fall in to pieces
A G# G
and then they'd say
CHORUS
A
well how could we have known?
D Bm G
I'll tell them it's not so hard to tell
A
if you keep adding stones
D Bm G A
soon the water will, be lost in the well
puzzle pieces in the ground
but no one ever seems to be digging instead they're looking up towards the heavens
with their eyes on the heavens
there are shadows on the way to the heavens
it's enough to make me cry
but that don't seem like it would make it feel better
the answers could be found
we could learn from digging down
but no one ever seems to be digging
instead they'll say (chorus)
words of wisdom all around
but no one ever seems to listen
they're talking about their plans on the paper
building up from the pavement
there are shadows from the scrapers on the pavement
its enough to make me sigh
but that don't seem like it would make it feel better
the words are all around
but the words are only sounds
and no one ever seems to listen
instead they'll say (chorus)

I'm going off of memory, but I think the 'A' in the verse prog is incorrect. Try an F#m with an added 3rd (A) in the upper register. When fingerpicked, like in the intro, it sounds right.
Like this...
E A D G B e
x x 4 2 2 5
That seems closer.
the G is an Em
I Think it´s more like: D A C Em
D:
E A D G B E
x x o 2 3 2
A:
x x 4 6 5 5
C:
x 3 2 o 1 3
Em:
x 7 9 7 8 7
ryan and phillip are full of shit. It sounds good the way you have it.
