Jack Johnson stroke patterns are easy to figure out and his songs are wonderful.

Anyone got the tab for On and On. I've got the intro down but can't get the rest.
Is the strumming pattern for this song the same as Flake? In other words.. D u D(muted) u u u D(muted)
Also, can someone tell me where you play the low B versus the high B?
I'm a 3-month old player, and haven't quite developed the music ear yet, but I practice a lot... so please take it easy on my newb questions... :)

What is the strumming pattern for this song?
I could use help on Gene's questions as well. David can you post them for all to benefit from?
The strumming sounds off a little. I can't seem to fit the pattern I hear into 4 even, continuous beats.
I hear:

1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 ??? (can't be right, can it?)

Okay, here are my tries at the pattern (be nice):
D = hard down strum, d = light down
U = hard up, u = baby ups
X = muted percussion stroke (as loud as you can play it)
These are all from beginning:
1) Close??

2) This is the one I hear (but I can’t play it):

3) This sounds okay to get the hang of things (only one I can keep up with):

In the chorus it’s very faint and I can barely here the extra upstrokes. Actually all the upstrokes are quick and hardly there (I could be imagining things).
I can get it to sound close by playing the mutes on 2 and 4 and making some noise in between on the right chord. 2 up/downs, 1, 3, 1 with a hammer on??? It's all good, this is a sweet song. The key is the second set is a little tighter together & more aggressive. And that changes the rhythm and gives it character.
It also sounds like he is switching chords right in the most difficult section. So, good luck with that!

Great tab man...It fits the song perfect...the only problem I found with this is that you didn't capitalize the "G" in God in the lyrics...I say that because I'm a religious guy and God is very important to me...I don't know God's importance to you, but I point it out to anyone who looks over it...so don't think I'm trying to be condemning or anything, cause I'm not...merely pointing it out...
About my previous comment concerning the "G" in God...don't take it as like an attack on you personally or anything...I'm not tryin to accuse you of anything, it's just something I always feel inclined to point out cause God is important to me...just clearin that up...
What's with this god guy...geeze...wicked tab my friend...and don't worry...if god truly cares he won't mind if you didn't capitualize his name...oh and by the way...god
