Here is one of the new songs on the Jack Johnson CD: On And On.
Really cool song; no capo & standard tuning. Please, listen carefully to the intro
before saying that is it not accurate. Any corrections are welcome!

Song & Lyrics
-------------
1st Verse
---------
Riff 01
Taylor was a good girl
never one to be late
Riff 01
complain express ideas in her brain
Riff 01
Workin on the night shift
passin out the tickets
you're gonna have to pay her
Riff 01
if you want to park here.
Riff 01
Well mommy's little dancer's
quite a little secret
workin on the streets now
Riff 01
never gonna keep it.
Riff 01
It's quite an imposition
And now she's only wishin'
That she would have listened
Riff 01
To the words they said.
Poor Taylor.
Chorus
-------
Riff 01
Well she just wonders around
uneffected by
Riff 01
the winter winds, yeah
and she'll pretend that
Riff 01
well she's somewhere else
so far and clear
Riff 01 Am
about 2,000 miles from here.
2nd Verse
---------
Peter Patrick pitter patters on the window
And Sunny's silhouette won't let him in
and poor old Pete's got nothin 'cause he's been fallin'
but somehow Sunny knows just where he's been
He thinks that singin' on a Sunday's gunna save his soul
but now that Saturday's gone
Well somehow he thinks that he's on his way
but I can see, that his break lights are on
Chorus
------
And he just wonders around
uneffected by
the winter winds, yeah
and he'll pretend that
well he's somewhere else
so far and clear
about 2,000 miles from here.
3rd Verse
---------
She's such a tough enchilada
filled up with nada
givin' what she got to give to get dollar bills
she used to be a limber chick
time's a been tickin'
now she's finger lickin to the man
with the money in his pockets
flyin in his rocket
Riff 02
only stoppin by on his way to a better world
Riff 02
if Taylor finds a better world
Intro
Taylor's gunna run away
The song ends with the intro.

the second chord here is wrong,
dude, it just doesnt sound right
with the song,
Remember that the chords are palm muted.
The second chord is just a variation of (x2001x). The only difference is that it's a barre chord.
Of course I'm not 100% sure the second chord is correct, but it sounds right here. Anyway :)
On the version that I have (from Jack of All Trades) it doesn't end with the intro. It does the "Riff 02", then what sounds like a C, and some 7 chord.
Anyone know what these last 2 chords are?
Capo 1 buddy.. and some of the chords aren't very close.. I'll try and add a correct version when I have the chance
no capo, look at how he plays in the video,
Capo? Don't think so.
The verse here is wrong. They're not barre chords. It's pretty simple. Watch the video. Jack just plays C, Em, Am7, and F all in the first position (the F, too. don't barre it, just fret the A and D strings with your ring and pinky).
It's pretty easy if you just keep your index on the B at the 1st string (as in open C) and it acts as an anchor. Doesn't matter, cuz Jack only plays the A and D strings. Just rest your palm on those two strings right in front of the bridge and rake them with the pick. It sounds perfect.
Then at the chorus, he just plays barre chords: C, G, Am7, F...
At the end is the "Riff 02" shown above. Then the intro again. That's it.
Sorry, the Am7's are supposed to be just plain Am.
The verse one doesn't matter, again, because you're only playing the A and D strings. I just fret it like an Am7.
are you on crack? do you not listen to JJ? the song DOES NOT end with the intro. Jeebus :S
