Cocoon- Jack Johson.
tab - Rhett Smith (rhette28@yahoo.com)
special thanks to hauck1@optushome.com.au -> your tabs on reed's
website got me started.
no capo. Standard tuning.
Start the intro with your tab hand like so:[0-0-7-6-5-5],which is
an A chord (- looks like a F chord placed on the 5 fret.)
Use your index finger to cover the tabb'ing across
the 'e' and 'B' strings. (Don't worry- it looks worse than it
is).

Verse (Main) Chord Progression
==========================================================
A C#m D C#m Bm E
The Main tab is as follows.
A helpful note: if you're having trouble getting through the piece as is,
work through it only pickin' the 3 highest strings. From there, work in
the 4th (D) string. The 5th and 6th strings are not what JackyJ. plays,
they're mostly the bass line (but I tabb'ed them in to be thorough)

Chorus
=============================================================
Helpul note: I use a different 'E' chord here (E: 0 7 6 4 0 0).
This is because its easier to transition to this E chord from D
instead of the other E chord (0 2 2 1 0 0). You'll see.

need. You know I only have so little, so

please, mend your broken heart and leave

Verse 2 (Main Progression) , tab Verse 1, as above
===============================================================
I know it's not your style.
I can tell by the way you move, it's real,
real soon.
But I'm on your side,
and I don't want to be your regret, I'd
rather be your cocoon
================================================================
Chorus 2 (Pre-chorus progression followed by chorus
progression), tab exactly as Chorus 1, above
================================================================
But this is all that you have.
So please, let me take what's left of
this heart and I will use.
...I sware I'll use only what I need.
I know you only have so little,
so please, let me mend my broken heart and...

Damn kid. I thought he played this song with a 12 string! And from the looks of ur tab, I guess not. This is an extremely impressive tab- and I'd say is 99% or even 100% - except for one or two notes of the outro. But I am not complaining!!!
ive been waiting for this tab for a very long time, you are my savior, and for this tab i thank you.
3 words for you buddy:
YOU'RE A LEGEND!!!!
Awesome TAB . . .this is gonna be good . . .

.. there´s an easier way to play this .. ur tab is really good .. but... the guitar is tuned EADGBe .. not EAGDBe... just a minor thing cuz i got confused.. i looked for the tab just for the outro .. and its better not to use that many open strings.. and i got confused with the tuning.. then i guessed it was a tiny mistake
Peace
thnx 4 the tab! awesome song i love jj. peace
