Subject: Re: Mother's Day Songs

Leon Christensen asked for a list of songs for Mother's Day at a Senior
Citizens' Center. I thought of a couple: Hand That Rocks the Cradle,
recorded by Glen Campbell (charted below); and If I Could Hear My Mother
Pray Again, recorded by the Stamps Quartet (which I don't know - sorry).
There was also the old "M - O - T - H - E - R" (M is for the million
......etc. Don't know that either......somebody help Leon......) Anyway,
here's how I do "Cradle":

 HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE
 Recorded by: Glen Campbell

   1 1 4
He got here red and wrinkled, scared and crying
         1 1 57 57
and she took him up and held him to her breast
        1 1 4 4
and he sure was glad to get what mama offered
        1 57 1 17
and he went to sleep and put his fears to rest

(Chorus)
4 57 1 1
There ought to be a hall of fame for mamas
   4 57 1 17
Creation's most unique and precious pearl
     4 57 1 6m
And Heaven help us always to remember
          4 57 1 1
That the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world

She taught him all the attributes of greatness
That she knew he couldn't learn away from home
And by the time she wore the cover off her bible
Her hair was gray and her little man was gone
