Isn't there a G7 thrown in there - day he died G7 day he died
??
The arrangement above is a great one for one guitar; but on the CD, there
are two guitars working, Gillian's and her husband's. He's definitely up
there, with or without a capo on the 7th fret, but my ear tells me that
Gillian is working below. She starts with a D major, built on the 5th fret,
5th string; then she modulates down to the 2nd fret to a B minor, built on
the 5th string. For the other chord she simply stays on the 5th and moves
her fingers to a G major, built on the fourth string. Just listen to her
bass notes and you'll hear it. I'd tab it, but.....
PS Remember that this tabber's picking line doesn't include that steady,
repeating bass line - here, beginning with that first bass note alternating
with a Maj5th above...one and two and one, etc. it never changes in any of
their songs once it's in there - that are the hallmark of a lot of her
songs. Also on his tab, there should be an occasional 3rd string on the 3rd
fret tossed on the way back up to the 1st string played in the G position
for that bit of dissonance that Rawlings uses in his leads.
