it may be simple but you are wrong all the chords are minor GM CM DM AND IT HAS A TWELVE BAR BLUES FEEL TO IT. BUT YOU WERE CLOSE.

you play in in open G with a slide with the 1 4 and the 5 chord

I think Ray may have mistaken the track for Dark Eyes by Django Reinhardt (who didnt play slide).
