G A sounds better than Em A.
But either works. Give it a try and maybe you'll agree!

Excellent! dude...this was great. take up a fret to match chords tho. Tooo hard play in duet with tuning all messed up. Almost like it would be a nirvana song!

Yeah, I am getting really pissed of at how big this song has become....because now it's popular...and it's played too much on the radio, I used to absolutely love this song when Donnie Darko first came out...and missed the cinema's here in australia.... and became a cult film that hardly anyone had heard of.... GO SEE IT!!!! U'll love it.... it's my favourite movie.... btw this song still rocks... just dont overplay it.. :D

wow this tab saved my arse; I need it for my guitar class and the teacher didnt even recognize it. Pretty much spot on, all though there are a few extra notes here and there, but I played it on my guitar and it sounds fine so yeah...good job.

hey i just want to say its good and im still trying to learn it but im going to have to go for the easy song first because i havent play in about 6 to 9 months so i have to also remeber my chord to.
I'm pretty sure gary jules' song is in the key of f minor, not e minor.
In fact,
here's the chord progression: key of f Dorian: I III VII IV, then back to I, all in root position. Remember: Dorian mode has a raised 6th scale degree, but lowered 3rd and 7th scale degrees. ( Do Re Me Fa So La Te Do)
