Subject: OH GOD NOT ANOTHER EMMYLOU HARRIS SONG

WHEELS

From the Emmylou Harris album, ÔElite HotelÕ
Written by Chris Hillman and Gram Parsons

Originally recorded in Ô75. A great live number, itÕs still
a favourite with Emmy on tour.
ItÕs in F but Emmy plays D shapes with the capo on the 3rd fret.
If you want to capo up, (or play in D) substitute D for F,
A for C, G for Bb and Bm for Dm.

C7 F F7 Bb F
WeÕve all got whee - eels, to take ourselves away
              Dm C Bb C7
WeÕve cut the telephone, to say what we canÕt say
           F F7 Bb F
We all get high - er and higher every day
   Bb F C F
So come on wheels, take this boy away

(chorus)

      Dm C F
WeÕre not afraid to ride
      Dm C Bb
WeÕre not afraid to die
   Bb F Bb F
So come on wheels, take me home today
Bb F C C7 F
Come on wheels, take this boy away

(same as first verse)

And when I feel my time has almost come
And destiny is in my right hand
I turn to him who made my face so strong
Come on wheels, make this boy a man.

(repeat chorus)
