Title: Season of the Witch
Tabber: Anson Oppegaard
This file is all my own work, yada yada yada.
I heard this song and liked the chords, but could only
find the bass tab, so here goes..
There are really only two chords, but you can play
around with them a little bit. Does anyone know the
name of the second chord, by the way?
Am ?
e|-0-----x---
B|-1-----0---
G|-2-----2---
D|-2-----0---
A|-0-----0---
E|-x-----2---
The first guitar you hear in the song has a clucky,
telecaster sort of quality to it, probably the middle
pickup. it only plays the first three notes of each
chord. use palm muting liberally!
e|-------------------------------------
B|-------------------------------------
G|----2-x-----x-2----------------------
D|----2-x-----x-x-------x------0-x-----
A|-0~~------0-----------x------0-x-----
E|------------------2~~~-----2---------
The soloing that comes toward the end of the song is
just in the A minor penatonic scale. If you don't know
the scale, it looks like this:
5th fret
V
e|~~~~~|--o-|----|----|--o-|
B|~~~~~|--o-|----|----|--o-|
G|~~~~~|--o-|----|--o-|----|
D|~~~~~|--o-|----|--o-|----|
A|~~~~~|--o-|----|--o-|----|
E|~~~~~|--o-|----|----|--o-|
This is my first tab so take it easy on me.
Cheerios,
Anson

lead riff?
My first attempt as well
where do you get this a minor and
whatever that other thing is?
Donovan himself said the progression
is a7 to d9. No minor chords in this
piece at all. You are way off.
you heard that donovan thing on
the radio too? he said young
people like the d9 chord a lot,
thats why that song is popular.
donovan is the man
Well, D9 can easily be mistaken for Am...but A7 for Am....uhh...(Am would work over the D9).
