thanks SO much for helping out on this one, god i love this song. but it seems liek it needs another chord on 'stay' after the Bb... or am i crazy?

Yup, smooveb, I agree. There is definitely a chord missing in the chorus, I just can't seem to put my finger on it (literally). I too have fallen deeply in love with this tune. Great job tabbers.

That last chord in the chorus is some sort of Ab.... I've been using this:

another option, if you can manage it, is this:

It's a bit tricky to finger, but it can be done -
bar the 4th fret with your index finger, use your middle and ring finger to hold the 5th fret of the E and G strings respectively, and bar the 6th fret of the D and A strings with your pinky. Like I said, it's a little tricky, but it sounds fuller than the previous chord I posted, and it you don't have to worry about not hitting the open strings. Cheers!
yep. the chord dan put up is right, it's F#. and the sequence of the chords is messed around a bit too. it goes:

btw that was a bit confusing the repeated bit was just the last three chords.(Cm Bb and F#)
Hmm, isn't the chord dan posted a G# and not a F#?
the chord that dan uses is a g#, assuredly. the detuning of the low e string makes it look funny, but it's a natural g#. also, dan and others, an easier way to play the chord is to use the rare, but effective, thumbing of the low string. hold down the low string with your thumb on the fifth fret, then play the chord out with ring finger on the 6th fret of the a, pinky on the sixth of the d, middle on 5th of the g, and index barring the b and high e on the 4th. just a little getting used to, but it's an easier reach. and it's true that it does sound better with that low g# in there.
Great song, D.C.F.C. is one of my favorite bands. I just started playing the guitar and want to learn how to play this song but what is this EB thing?

the Eb means that you have to tune your E string down half a step to an Eb (thickest string,)it should then sound an octave lower than sixth fret on the A string

Yeah it's a G#. And an easier way to play it (i find it easier anyway) is t fret the G# on the 6th string (fifth fret) with your middle finger, the the D# on the 2nd (6th fret) with your pinky, the C on the 3rd string (5th fret) with your ring finger and the Eb and the other G# on the the 2nd and 1st strings (4th fret on both) using your index finger. Mute the 4th string with your pinky (just alow it to touch against it while fretting the other note, dampening the sound). It doesn't matter that you miss this note out, as it's already fretted twice in different octaves (its G#). I think it's more effective this way, as you can often mute the C by accident if you don't quite manage dan's version.
