        ZOMBIE- The Cranberries

  i've had a lot of e-mails with ammendments etc. Here's a
re-submission of a great song.I got an e-mail looking for the solo.
Is there one? The album i have, there is no solo in Zombie, except
the tiny one before verse one.

   Jono (the_man_jono@hotmail.com)

Intro(clean Guitar), listen to song for timing,
(here I've put 6 each chord, there's roughly 10 I think)

Riff 1
e--------------------------------------------------
B--------------------------------------------------
G--------------------------------------------------
D--2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-2-------------------------
A--2-2-2-2-2-2-3-3-3-3-3-3-2-2-2-2-2-2-0-0-0-0-0-0-
E--------------------------3-3-3-3-3-3-2-2-2-2-2-2-

Use a Distortion Pedal now and play the above riff again. Hard Strums,
Downwards direction only.(i find that a bit of overdrive on my amp gives
it a Harsher sound, like on the cd.)

Apparently, you should be playing Em; C; G and then a D,
in the same progression but i prefer my version. If you don't like
it, Sue me :)

Now theres a hush and just before the singing starts, theres a small
solo,
here ( slide the notes rather than Hammering in the frets.)
I made a mistake 1st time round . It should be:

Riff 2
e--7^8^7--5^7--3^5--2^3^2-------
B-------------------------3^3p0-
G-------------------------------
D-------------------------------
A-------------------------------
E-------------------------------

Thats basically it. play riff 1 throughout the song and fade at the end.
I dont
think there is an outro.

For Intrests sake, the bass part(which can be played on a guitar) goes:

e-------------------------------------------------
B-------------------------------------------------
G-------------------------------------------------
D-------------------------------------------------
A-------------3-3-3-3-5-3-------------------------
E-0-0-0-0-3-0-------------3-3-3-3-5-3-2-2-2-2-3-2-

If you have any ammendments to make, e-mail me, or re-submit the
corrected
version.
