It does NOT refer to a chord e.g the first chord formation it is: (C2) |-5-| |-2-| Basically you tab the 2nd |-2-| fret, hence C2. |-4-| |-2-| |-2-| C2 C4 |-5--------5----4-------4----2-----2---2-----| |-------2-------------2-------------------6--| |--------------------------------4-----------| |-4--4----------2--2-------------------------| |----------------------------2-2-------2--4--| |--------------------------------------------| * C2 C4 |-5--------5----4-------4-----2-----2---2-----| |-------3-------------2--------------------6--| |---------------------------------4-----------| |-4--4----------2--2--------------------------| |-----------------------------2-2-------2--4--| |---------------------------------------------| And Repeat.... * This note makes all the difference! sry, but i think there is one mistake i think it goes like this
e -5---5-4---4-2---2-2-1---|<--
b -------------------------|<---
g ---6-----4-----2---------|<----
d -------------------------|<----- Repeat several times...
a -------------------------|<------
e -------------------------|<-------
that should be correct... greatz Chrizz
hey i think it's correct except only one note
the first part should be played with that D instead of C# on the G string
e -5---5-4---4-2---2-2-1---
b -------------------------
g --(7)----6-----4---------
d -------------------------
a -------------------------
e -------------------------
and also when the playing goes one step up , it should be played with D# on the G string , instead of D
Just like that
e -6---6-5---5-3---3-3-2---
b -------------------------
g --(8)----7-----5---------
d -------------------------
a -------------------------
e -------------------------
Goodluck for all , we're all just trying to love music
this is the correct way to play it
e ----------------------------
b -10--------10--9------9-----
g -11--11--------9--9---------
d --------11-----------9------
a -9-------------7------------

e --------------------
a -7------7--7--6-----

bloody hell people !!! this is turning into an argument, fecks sake who has the right one? im a singer doing a music course at college and i need the tab so a m8 at college can play it at our next gig! u kno how simple singers can be, -please someone just do the right one?!
stop it ! you ain't need to argue about how great you are, this song is so simple it can be played by my 4 years old daughter.
All you need is e an b chord. Then try:
e:5 54 42 221 5 54 42 221
b: 2 2 0 0 3 2 0 0
Play it all over the tune and by the end when they start being exited, play:
e:6 65 53 332 6 65 53 332
b: 3 3 1 1 4 3 1 0
All over till the end.
You can try it with the original tune played background or in a "unplugged" way, but this tab works good and is so easy to play.
Keep playin'
Le Vico
Hahaha
not one of you has it right yet, some of you are close, but no one has it right, if nobody gets it by next month, i will post it myself.
Keep trying
Gordon aka sting
i wanted to consult this website about how to play this song coz i really need it but hell i found that everybody tries his way
a last advice is that when somebody is not sure of what he is gonna write he'd better just keep his tabs to his own
i will do it exactly the way sting did it and won't no more 4 sb else to do it on my place or 4 an argument to be ended and then play
goodbye
