Tabbed by Frederic Maquet
____________________________________________________________
This is from the "Best of Woodstock" album. It's just a really funny
anti-war song...
Intro: (spoken)
------
"...give me an f...F!!...
...give me an u...U!!...
...give me an c...C!!...
...give me an k...K!!...
What's that spell? ........FUCK x4"
(Guess they had a lot of fun then)
Verse 1:
--------
A
E
Well C'mon all you big strong men
A
Uncle Sam needs your help again
E
Got himself in a terrible jam
A
Way down yonder in Vietnam
F#7 B7
Put down your books and pick up a gun
E A
We're gonna have a whole lotta fun
Chorus:
-------
B7 E
And it's one, two, three
A
What are we fighting for?
E
Don't ask me I don't give a damn
A
Next stop is Vietnam
B7 E
And it's five, six, seven
A
Open up the pearly gates
F#7 B7
Well there ain't no time to wonder why
E A
Whoopee! we're all gonna die
Verse 2:
--------
Now C'mon Wall street don't be slow
I'm having this war a go go go!
There's plenty of good money to be made
Supplyin' the army with the tools of the trade
Just hope and pray when they drop the bomb
They drop it on the Viet Cong
CHORUS
Verse 3:
--------
Now C'mon generals ler's move fast
Your big chance is here at last
Now you can go out and get those reds
Coz the only good commie is one that's dead
And we know that peace can only be won
When we blow them all to kingdom come
CHORUS (with "LOUDER" shouted)
Break: (spoken while strumming A)
------
"Listen people, I don't know how you, expect to
ever stop the war if you can't sing any better than that,
there's about 300,000 of you fuckers out there, I want
you to start singing!"
CHORUS
Verse 4:
--------
We C'mon mothers throughout the land
Pack your boys off to Vietnam
C'mon fathers don't hesitate
Send your sons off before it's too late
Be the first one on your block
To have your boy come home in a box
CHORUS
end with "Alright!"
Chords:
-------

A 002220
F#7 242322
B7 224242

its actually played with a capo on second fret, so it would be played in g. its pretty easy to figure out just use the same notes you have there and put a capo on, its like, g instead of a, d instead of e, e7 instead of f#7 and a7 instead of b7 so yeah. rock on, and thanks for tabbing that one
