Subject: Another TAB File Contribution: Cory Morrow (and Pat Green) - Drink One More Round

Song: Drink One More Round
Artist: Cory Morrow (with Pat Green and Owen Temple)
Album: The Man That I’ve Been

Tabbed by: Daniel Shanklin (pokejabba@yahoo.com)

Comments: This is my very first tab that I have released yet, though not my first
written tab. It was fairly easy, and it's a great country song. I'm
not even a big country fan, but it's a catchy tune and sure to be a big
           hit for any country fan.

Tab Notes: First off, you should know that there's a simplified chord version at
the bottom, but I would suggest looking over the top TAB portion first
because that's where you'll find the riffs, and other licks. There's
alot of palm mutes in country, and this song is not an exception.
Just listen to the song and you'll hear 'em. Also, before Cory strikes
each chord, he hits the lowest fingered string once, and that's what
makes the muted bass sound before every chord. It's very rythmic, so
it sounds like (LowNote)-(Chord)-(LowNote)-(Chord). You'll get it if
you just listen to the song. Also, the D-minor in this song is Cory's
special version of Dm, so look at the chord key just below this
paragraph. Lastly, notes in Parens () are label for tonality, so
so listen to the song to hear how to play them. Please e-mail any
corrections you may have to me, Daniel Shanklin (pokejabba@yahoo.com).
                                      Thanks, and happy strumming!!

* Fiddle and Slide Guitar Solo *
********************************

During this solo, Cory just plays
the verse chords, but at the end
of the solo, there's a little riff
played by Cory that goes like this:

e |------------------------|
B |------------------------|
G |--------------(0)(0)----|
D |-3-2-0---------2--0-(0)-|
e |-------2-3-----3--2--3--|
e |-------------3-------5--|

*********
* Outro *
*********

The outro is just a transposed G chord
in root C, and it's played like this:
     C*
e |--8---|
B |--8---|
G |--0---|
D |--0---|
A |--7---|
E |--8---|

Cory sings:

G F C
I’ve been a drifter, ever since I could walk

G F C
I’ve been a connoisseur of beer since I could talk

F C G C
My momma told me son, liquor ain’t no good

F G C (Dm*)
Ahhh, just another thing I never understood

                  C
So Drink one more round on me

               G G* F#
Let’s sing an old melody

F G C G
Hold your drinks up high, and toast the night

           C G G* F#
Hold your baby strong, help me sing that old song

F G C
I think that one more drink, might do me right

Pat sings:

   G F C
I like to spend my days, floating down the Guadalupe River

 G
Drink a cold case of Lone Star beer

F C
While my body shivers

F C G C
At the end of the day, we stumble in to the nearest bar

     F G C
We hang our pictures on the wall so you’ll think that we are stars
 (Are we stars? Oh yeah!)

Owen sings:

  G F C
I’ve woken up, many mornings next to a coyote

G F C
Had to gnaw my arm off, Lord, I hit the door running

F C G C
It’s a damn miracle, all that we’ve lived through

Anyone like another round or two
