This song is from Beck's latest album, Sea Change, which is quite the holy-crap-I'm-so-depressed-because-my-girl-left-me album. I thought this song was awesome to have an ex- listen to. I have the guitar part all tabbed out (as per my own interpertation), and it should all be there. I have the song progression below and the lyrics, but if you have the album, you can just listen to it, and figure that part out for yourself. I was trying to make this as complete as possible, so this should be about it for the guitar part of the song. (Since the guitar is the biggest part, you should be able to cover the song with just this part). Enjoy! As far as playing tips go, the only thing to mention is that when playing the very first chord, (an fmaj7 chord, used a LOT in the song) I use my thumb on that F on the lowest string. Maybe that's cheating, but it is by far the easiest way to play it. This is also my first tab. Let me know what you think! I don't think it says it anywhere on this tab but, it sounds better if you play it with a capo on the second fret. And that's what they did on a Lenno performance. Also someone should post the improv part.
I think the cords are right. But I think the tune is an alternating base?
Try Drop-D tuning (DADGBE), it
overcomes the difficulty with
using the thumb to fret the
beginning F. The C and E chords
are still easy to fret.
Nice tab. I'm addicted to this song for some reason.
Yea this is a great tab, great song to..thx
