beatles were amazing but they didn't
invent or make rock'n'roll.
they were fans of rock'n'roll who did
covers in the early days of Elvis,
Motown, Carl Perkins, Little Richard
and many others.
They wrote great songs, but they did
not MAKE rock n roll.
<sigh>
They "made" rock and roll in the following senses:
Literally, they produced rock and roll, they "made" it. This is not arguable.
They "made" it in the sense that a smile from a pretty girl made my day. This is subjective.
Moreover this is a pretty good arrangement of this song. Its a little stripped down but the elements of the bass runs are there and this is more playable than some versions out there.
Kudos to Yoshi.
There was Elvis and Chuck Berry but neither of them opened windows like the Beatles did so whoever thinks that Beatles didn't invent true rock and roll aren't to bright
true the beatles did not invent rock-n-roll. as the saying goes the blues had a baby and they called it rock-n-roll. the beatles made music that was artistic and did it very well.
you idiots need to shut up. you are seriously ignorant to rock 'n roll if you think the beatles invented it.
ok, a few things,
over "lucky man who made the grade" you have two wrong chords there ...
it's like this...
C Em/B Am
a-bout a luck-y man___ who made the grade._ Cmaj ... and it follows that chord progression for that certain part everytime, like "He did-n't no - tice that the light_had changed." etc.
also you forgot Bm over "news_ was rath-er"
finally, over "I'd love to turn______you______on______" it's like this...
(C)I'd love to (Bm/F#) turn_____ (G) you______ (Em/A) on______
GL with it
p.s. the Beatles Rock and the roll
clarifying:
(C)a-bout a (Em/B)lucky man___ who (Am)made the grade (Cmaj7)
also the "woke up fell outta bed" part ... it's not Dsus2 it's just D with no 3rd in it (i.e. no F# note ... the chord is ADAD)
then "found my way downstairs and drank a cup" it's F#m/B, the chord's easy, it looks like this...
E--2-------
B--2-------
G--2-------
D--2-------
A--2-------
E----------
In the "I'd love to turn you on" part
Bm/F# looks like this:
E--2-------
B--3-------
G--4-------
D--4-------
A----------
E----------
and the Em/A looks like this:
E--0-------
B--0-------
G--0-------
D--2-------
A--0-------
E----------
This is probably one of the best "last songs" of any album ever. This song's amazing. Also did you know that at the end of this song when it all builds up and they hit that extremely rich sounding E chord ... they actually recorded 5 grand pianos hitting that chord in the same room at once ... pretty cool
Peace!
