How to read tabs?

Here is another way of playing it, I found this on some other site.
The guy who posted it said this is the "real" way to play it.  I don't
know, but it still sounds okay to me.

Tuning : Standard

h = hammer-on
p = pull-off
/ = slide

This song is great. And the guitar is the better thing in it. I think that the guitariste is a very good player but I don t lith singers so much...

WHY ARE ALL TABS ON THE NET OF THIS SONG WRONG THE TONES DO NOT MATCH THAT OF THE RECORD EVEN THE VERYFIRST NOTE IS WRONG.

I AGREE WUTH THIS GRAIG GUY NONE OF EM HAVE THW RIGHT TONE AT ALL theres like 5 tabs on the net for this song and there all really really bad can sum one tab make sure it sounds the same and put it on ultiate guitar.com cause its the only normal tab site around.....
