Stormy Monday as performed by The Allman Brothers Band

This is the version of the song that appears on the At Fillmore East cd.

I've never seen a tab of this song before, and since
every guitarist should know Duane's solo, here it is.

There are two guitar parts: Duane Allman and Dickey Betts.
Duane is playing an SG through a 50 watt Marshall Plexi 1986 bass model.
Dickey plays a Les Paul through a 100 watt Plexi. Both standard tuning on
this song.

The tune starts out with Duane introducing it,
then plays the into:

				D+
e----3-3-3--2/3--4--6--3-----------------|
b----3-3-3--2/3--4--6--3-----------3-----|
g----3-3-3--2/3--4--6--3----------3------|
d----2-2-2--1-2--3--5--2---------4-------|
a------------------------------/5--------|
E----------------------------------------|

Dickey's part during the progression:

    G7 C9 G7 Ab7 G7 C9
e---3/5--3----3/5--3----3/5--4--6--3----3/6--3----3/5--3--3/5--3-

g----4-----3-----4-----------3-----------|
d----3-----2-----3----------4------------|
a----5-----3-----5-----3-4-5-------------|

Duane plays several fill patterns during the progression.

Duane's solo:
Duane beautifully mixes
major and minor pentatonic scales
in this solo to make it one of my
favorite solos ever
recorded.

This tabs is really good. I wish Dickey's solo was on here. I'm going to be adding that on soon. One more thing, how can Duane be playing a 1986 Plexi Bass Model if he died in 1971?

1986 is the model # not the year the amp was produced!! This is from a marshall website:

1986 JTM45 Bass, 45W head

This amp was in production from 1965 to 1966. It had 2 channels and 4 inputs. It was the Bass version of the 1987.
