just like to say that you are all fighting over nothing. It it obvious that the tuning is UP half a step. Whether you wanna play it standard tuning with capo on first, or tuned down a step with capo on second fret or for that matter tune it down 100 half steps and put the capo on the 101st fret, is IRRRELIVENT. So stop arguing when you all are saying the same thing - damn if you all stopped trying to compete about how many years you have all played for you might have enough time to realise that, and more to the point ACUTALLY ENJOY PLAYING THE SONG. NOW the right chords are (for standard tuning with capo on first fret)
Intro: Am F G
Verse: Am G Am F G Am G Am F G Am G and so on in that pattern till the chorus
Chorus: C (and then quickly C7, which is just a normal c maj chord plus 3rd fret on the g string) G Am F G - all of that times 2
then the only other thing is the bridge which is:
Am C G F (x2)
O.K. I never expected to see this much controversy over posting a rough draft of the intro to the song. I never would have EVER thought that this song could ever be confused as an Eb tuning or use a capo on the 1st fret. I ALSO saw 3doors down in concert and they used neither a capo nor did they change their tuning. So, what is the big deal. I bought the album when it was first released, sat down and roughed out most of the songs and posted what I had, NOBODY else had yet.
I Really appreciate the sincere critique and follow up of those of you who list the cords, (namely Jim )but for anyone who remotely believes the tuning is anything other than standard, You really ought to take up lessons.
I have kind of lost interest in finishing the song because of all the fighting and extreme criticism, but If I do, I probably will not bother posting it because you wouldn't believe me anyway.

this website is okay to get tabs on but a better website is 911tabs.com. they dont have the tabs on there website but they have links to other websites with the tab your looking for.

I am with Steve. I am going to Capo the 22nd fret on my Schecter and play this song on C#flatadd19 and retune really fast for the brisges and play those in A#add18.
